Kompas Gramedia is the largest media conglomerate in Indonesia with more than 50 years of experience and home to more than 120 brands. One of Kompas Gramedia’s brands, Kompas Daily recently collaborated with Bank Jateng in Borobudur Marathon, an event presented by the Government of Central Java.

Borobudur Marathon is an annual marathon that has been established since 2012. On their 8th event, Borobudur Marathon carried out the Synergy & Harmony theme with the aim to develop synergy and harmony between people, nature, and culture. The 42km track itself is surrounded with authentic Javanese culture, warm local hospitality, and an array of culinary delicacies. This year, more than 10,000 people from more than 30 countries participated in the race.

We designed Borobudur Marathon 2019’s collaterals such as tote bag, waist bag, jersey, and tumbler. We incorporated excerpts of the track, Javanese script (Hanacaraka), and a glimpse of Borobudur into our designs to showcase the core principles of Borobudur Marathon itself.
